Trainers, this is big! Niantic has announced some of the details of this summer's roster of real-world events.
COMMUNITY DAY: Niantic has given us a heads up for the next two Community Days. June's event will take place on Saturday June 16. July's event will take place on Sunday July 8. Niantic also reminded us that May's Community Day, which features Charmander, will take place in 12 days.
GO FEST 2018: Pokémon GO Fest will return this year! On July 14 and 15, the event will take place in Chicago's Lincoln Park. Tickets for the event, which will only allow entrance for one day and cost $20 each, will go on sale in four days.
Niantic has said that more details are to be revealed in the upcoming months. Let's hope that this year's event will go over better than last year's.
EDIT: Since the publishing of this article, Niantic has revealed on Reddit that each individual will only be able to attend one of the days of the event. Both days will feature the same things, so don't worry about missing anything.
SAFARI ZONES: Niantic has also announced two new Pokémon GO Safari Zones. The first of which will take place in Dortmund, Germany, from June 30 to July 1. The event is open to all, with some of the effects extending into the city. The main hub of the event is Westfalenpark.
The second Safari Zone will take place in Yokosuka, Japan, later this summer. Unfortunately, we have no details beyond this.
Thanks for reading, Trainers. We'll be sure to bring you more details about this event as they come, so stay tuned.
