Welcome to another pre-generation preview, Trainers! Last time we took a look at Victini. This time, we'll take a look at the Grass-type starter family for this generation: Snivy, Servine, and Serperior.

SERVINE

SERPERIOR

PLACE IN THE META: Serperior will most certainly be the least interesting of the three fully-evolved Unova starters. Its stats really aren't that remarkable, leading to a low max CP. It certainly does not have a future in the Raiding scene, especially when comparing it to Breloom and Roserade, not to mention Sky Shaymin.
If Serperior finds a use, it will be in Trainer Battles where Pokémon with its type of stats shine more often. Not to mention it will probably get a lot of two-bar and three-bar Charged Attacks like Leaf Blade and Grass Knot that will allow it to perform well. In any event, Serperior will be inferior to its future self until Snivy's inevitable Community Day where it gets access to Frenzy Plant.
LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Serperior:

Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Serperior's movepool:
LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 5, Serperior gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution that is known of at this time.
