MAX CP: 2815 |
Weavile is the evolved form of Sneasel. In the main-series games, Sneasel will evolve into Weavile when exposed to a Razor Claw, but only during the nighttime. It is unknown if either of these requirements will be made in Pokémon GO.
PLACE IN THE META: Weavile will certainly be an interesting addition to the game. Its Attack stat is rather large, and the Dark- and Ice-types are two of the strongest meta types. Assuming Weavile gets the moves it needs, it could become one of the best attackers in both of those categories. On the downside, Weavile's attacking power is counterbalanced by its rather lacking defenses and large weakness to Fighting-type attacks.
Weavile is an Ice- and Dark-type. This means it is resistant to Dark-, Ice-, and Ghost-type attacks; "immune" to Psychic-type attacks; weak to Fire-, Bug-, Steel-, Fairy-, and Rock-type attacks; as well as doubly weak to Fighting-type attacks.
LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Weavile:
Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Weavile:
Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Weavile's movepool:
LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 4, Weavile gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution.
