Welcome back, Trainers! In this installment of Generation Preparation, we'll take a look at the Ogre Darner Pokémon, Yanmega. Let's get into it.

MAX CP: 2873 |
Yanmega is the evolved form of Yanma. We expect the evolution to cost 50 Yanma Candy.
PLACE IN THE META: Yanmega could be, depending on its moveset, a decent addition to the rather-limited Bug-type attacking roster. It's stats are somewhat similar to Heracross', meaning it is a great attacker with acceptable but less-than-ideal defenses. The Bug-type is where Yanmega will shine, as Rayquaza's monstrous Attack stat still reigns supreme over the Flying-type.
Yanmega is a Bug- and Flying-type. This makes it weak to Fire-, Ice-, Electric-, and Flying-type attacks; doubly weak to Rock-type attacks; "immune" to Ground-type attacks; highly-resistant to Fighting- and Grass-type attacks; as well as resistant to Bug-type attacks.
LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Yanmega:
Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Yanmega:
Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Yanmega's movepool:
LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 4, Yanmega gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution.
