PLACE IN THE META: Being one of the regional birds, Unfezant doesn't stand out among Flying-types. The regional birds don't have the stats to compete in Pokémon GO, with only Staraptor being somewhat viable. And Unfezant is far worse than its predecessor, meaning the only memorable thing about this Pokémon will be its significant gender difference.

LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Unfezant:
  • Quick Attack
  • Steel Wing

Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Unfezant:
  • Aerial Ace
  • Air Cutter
  • Sky Attack

Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Unfezant's movepool:
  • Fly
  • U-turn

LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 5, Unfezant gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution that is known of at this time.
Thanks for reading, Trainers! Blitzle and Zebstrika are up next!
