GENESECT

ATTACK:  252

DEFENSE:  199

STAMINA:  174

MAX  CP:  3353

PLACE IN THE META: Genesect will be a good addition to Pokémon GO. While it won't be the best new Steel-type, it will be a pretty decent Bug-type. Volcarona is still projected to be better, but Genesect's stats and typing do make it out to be a better version of Scizor.

LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Genesect:
  • Fury Cutter
  • Metal Claw

Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Genesect:
  • Flash Cannon
  • Hyper Beam
  • X-Scissor
  • Zap Cannon

Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Genesect's movepool:
  • Giga Impact
  • Techno Blast

LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 5, Genesect gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution that is known of at this time.
Well, that's it! That's our final Unova Preview. Thank you for all the support on this series, Trainers!
