Water-type Pokémon have flooded the real world! The 2018 Water Festival is now live in Pokémon GO until June 21 at 1:00 PM PDT. This event makes Water-type Pokémon spawn at increased rates and give triple the normal amount of Stardust upon capture. This includes many possibly-Shiny Pokémon, including the brand-new Shiny Shellder.
Water-type Pokémon have also flooded the 2KM Egg roster. Any Egg hatched during this event will award double Candy and Stardust. In addition to this, there are many new Water-type Raid Bosses. This includes the return of Kyogre, which can now be found as a Shiny Pokémon. SOURCE: Niantic

These games are aimed at veteran fans of the franchise, and will have better graphics than any other past game. This game will also be a brand-new experience with many brand-new Pokémon, which heavily implies that these games will be the Eighth Generation of Pokémon. SOURCE: Serebii
