update report: v0.89.1

An update for Pokémon GO was announced late last night. The update fixes some very critical bugs, but contains nothing too major. Let's dive in to the APK!

ANNOUNCED CHANGES: The following changes are those Niantic officially announced on their website:
  - The bug where the list of Pokémon would return to the top after interacting with a Pokémon
  - The Pokédex can now be sorted by Region
  - The order of Incubators in selection has been changed
  - Improved Pokémon scale
  - Various other fixes

MOST IMPORTANT ADDITIONS: We won't go into every other little addition, but here are the two most important ones.

KYOGRE: With the scaling improvements that Niantic announced, Kyogre is now closer and with a larger circle. This should help with Raiding excitement and Kyogre's capture rate.

LOADING SCREEN: The new update has brought a New Year's loading screen. The image features a variety of Pokémon, including the unreleased Loudred. Coupling this with the recent GAME_MASTER update, we could be getting a new wave of Pokémon soon.

Do keep in mind that, even though the loading screen and recent GAME_MASTER updates point to a new wave coming (possibly for Community Day), we shouldn't expect anything. Remember that the Christmastime screen featured Wingull, a Pokémon that has not been released.

Thanks for reading, Trainers. Stay tuned for a speculative article about future Legendary Pokémon later on this week. Make sure to follow us on Twitter (@PNN_APTV) to know when it goes live.
