So many big, breaking stories have surfaced over the past couple of hours! Here's a roundup of all the Pokémon GO news:
NEW RAID BOSSES: With the rerelease of Lugia and departure of Rayquaza, the Raid Boss roster has changed again. The new Raid Bosses are focused around counters for Lugia. Visit our Raid Boss Chart to discover the new roster.
COMMUNITY DAY: Niantic has revealed that the exclusive move for the next Community Day will be Frenzy Plant. From footage that Niantic gave out early to some YouTubers, we know that Frenzy Plant is a two-bar Charged Attack that does 100 damage a piece.
As a reminder, this move cannot be taught to a Venusaur with a TM. You'll need to evolve an Ivysaur to Venusaur to obtain a Venusaur with Frenzy Plant. Start saving your good-IV versions of Bulbasaur, as Community Day is a little over a week away!
LUGIA RETURNS: Lugia has returned to Raid Battles, and this time it comes with a Shiny variant! Reports indicate that the chance to find a Shiny Lugia is very high, and similar to the Shiny rates of Absol and Mawile. If the Lugia is Shiny (and only if it is Shiny), you have a 100% chance to catch it. You still need to get it in the Premier Ball, but feel free to give it a Pinap Berry.
SKY ATTACK BUFFED: As promised, the move Sky Attack has been improved. It still has two Charge Bars, but its power has been increased by 10 damage points. It now has 80 power. For clarity, Sky Attack's buff is not exclusive to Lugia.
NEW UPDATE: As expected with the announcement of Frenzy Plant, a new update has been released for Pokémon GO. Here's what data-miners found hidden beneath the surface of v0.95.3:

NEW UPDATE: As expected with the announcement of Frenzy Plant, a new update has been released for Pokémon GO. Here's what data-miners found hidden beneath the surface of v0.95.3:
- QUEST CODE RETURNS: Coding for quests has returned to the APK. It's not as much as it once was, but it is still an improvement from the last couple of completely-scrubbed versions.
- NEW MOVES: As expected, coding for Frenzy Plant has shown up in the code. Additionally, coding was discovered for the move Weather Ball. This move is Castform's iconic move that changes type based on the weather.
- POKÉSTOP SUBMISSIONS: From the new coding, it would seem that Pokémon GO Trainers may soon be able to submit suggestions for PokéStops in the same way that players of Niantic's other game, Ingress, are able to in Operation Portal Recon.
- A NEW POKÉMON: Spinda, an unreleased Pokémon from Generation 3, has new support in the game's code. Spinda is a very unique Pokémon, as each Spinda has its own distinct spot pattern. Niantic doesn't seem to be matching that, but they have done something satisfactory. Eight different variants have been discovered in the APK, which indicate that this Pokémon may be available soon.
