Welcome back to Generation Preparation, Trainers! This time we'll be analyzing Roselia's evolution: Roserade. Let's begin!
Budew
ATTACK: 91 |
DEFENSE: 126 |
STAMINA: 80 |
MAX CP: 766 |
Budew is the baby form of Roselia. As a baby Pokémon, Budew is expected to be an Egg-exclusive Pokémon. Roselia has never been in Eggs, so we don't really have a guideline of which tier Budew will be in, but the 2KM eggpool seems most likely. We expect it to cost 25 Roselia Candy to evolve a Budew to Roselia.
Roserade
ATTACK: 243 |
DEFENSE: 206 |
STAMINA: 120 |
MAX CP: 2783 |
Roserade is the evolved form of Roselia. We expect it to take 100 Roselia Candy to evolve a Roselia into a Roserade. In the main series games, it requires a Shiny Stone to evolve a Roselia. We expect Niantic to add this Evolution Item for Roserade.
PLACE IN THE META: If Niantic gives Roserade the best moves, Roserade will become one of the top-tier Grass-type attackers. With its stats and typing, Roserade is essentially a more offensively-focused version of Venusaur. It isn't as tank-y as Venusaur, so it will faint more quickly.
Roserade is a Grass- and Poison-type, just like Venusaur and Victreebel. This means it resists Electric-, Water-, Fairy-, and Fighting-type attacks, and greatly resists Grass-type attacks. It is weak to Flying-, Ice-, Psychic-, and Fire-type attacks.
LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Roserade:
Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Roserade:
Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Roserade's movepool:
LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 4, Roserade gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution.
