Welcome back to Generation Preparation, Trainers! This time we'll be analyzing Misdreavus' evolution: Mismagius. Let's begin!
ATTACK: 211 |
DEFENSE: 211 |
STAMINA: 120 |
MAX CP: 2465 |
Mismagius is the evolved form of Misdreavus. As with many other two-stage evolutions, we expect in to cost 50 Candy to evolve a Misdreavus. In the core games, Misdreavus needs a Dusk Stone to evolve, which we expect Niantic to add to Pokémon GO.
PLACE IN THE META: Mismagius' place in the meta is uncertain. The Ghost-type is already not very common in the metagame, granted its current roster is quite limited. Despite its lower Attack stat, we would consider (should it get the best moves) Mismagius to be a better version of Gengar. A Ghost-type's only usefulness in this game is a Psychic-type counter, which Gengar is weak to because of its part Poison-typing. In that regard, Mismagius might be a safer version of Gengar. But, again, Mismagius' usefulness will be based off of the moves Niantic gives it.
Mismagius is a pure Ghost-type. This means it is "immune" to Normal- and Fighting-type attacks, and resists Bug- and Poison-type attacks. It is weak to Ghost- and Dark-type attacks.
LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Mismagius:
Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Mismagius:
Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Mismagius' movepool:
LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 4, Mismagius gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution.
