The 2019 Summer Tour and Global Challenge have begun with its first part: Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago! Here's what you need to know about the event.
POKEMON SPAWNS
First, here are what Pokémon you will see spawning in Grant Park and the city of Chicago. Do note that Unown (which spell "Wake Up!") and the out-of-place regional for the event, Pachirisu, are exclusive to the park:
The Pokémon names that are in bold are also spawning in increased rates worldwide. Horsea can now be Shiny. There were reports of Shiny Abra exclusively in GO Fest early in the morning, but they have fizzled out. It could possibly be an accidental release, so we'll have to see what happens going forward.

SPECIAL RESEARCH
Second, we come to the new Special Research for GO Fest attendees. This Special Research unlocks the Mythical Pokémon Jirachi for the first time in Pokémon GO. We're currently working on cataloging this new quest as we work on overhauling our Special Research database.
OTHER BONUSES
There are also some other notable details about this year's GO Fest in Chicago. Like in the past years, the park is separated into different habitat zones were certain Pokémon spawn more frequently. Although, unlike last year's GO Fest in Chicago, there are more photo opportunities and trading benefits. Stardust costs for trades have been reduced by half, and attendees can perform up to five Special Trades on their day of attendance.
