GO Hub has peered into the GAME_MASTER file and discovered some updates related to the Gym rework. Some things are new items and some are changes to the type effectiveness function, and we'll go over all of it in this article
1. technical machines
The Fast TMs will not be awarded to any Trainer under Level 15, and Charged TMs will not be awarded to any Trainer under Level 25.
2. rare candies
Rare Candies have been added and will not be awarded to any Trainer under Level 5. Interestingly, Golden Razz Berries were not added, or, at least, put into GO Hub's article.
3. premier balls
Premier Balls have been added, seemingly out of nowhere! GO Hub has reported that Premier Balls will be given to Trainers to capture the rare, powerful Pokémon that can be caught after defeating a Raid Boss, although PNN cannot confirm this yet. Premier Balls will not drop from regular spins of PokéStops.
4. changes to nanab berries, and the paid raid pass
Nanab Berries no longer drop with the same level requirements. They now require a Trainer to be at least Level 4 to drop. Paid Raid Passes were also added to the master file and will not drop from regular PokéStop spins.
5. type-effectiveness multiplier have been changed
The S.T.A.B. multiplier has been changed to 1.2
"Super Effective!" multiplier has changed to 1.4 (it used to be 1.25).
"Not Very Effective" has been changed to 0.714 (it used to be 0.8).

"Not Very Effective" has been changed to 0.714 (it used to be 0.8).
6. three new medals
Three new medals will be added to properly complement the new Gym features. They are for Hours Defended, Berries Fed, and Raid Battles Won. Each of these medals have a requirement of 10 for the Bronze Medal, 100 for Silver, and 1,000 for Gold.
