Trainers, we want to give you a quick update on today's news. Let's dive in!
HYDRO CANNON: Niantic has officially confirmed that Blastoise's exclusive move on the upcoming Community Day will be Hydro Cannon. Based off of the pattern, this should come to nobody's surprise. What is surprising, however, is the fact that Hydro Cannon is a three-bar Charged Attack. This could improve Blastoise's overall performance in the meta, but we'll have to wait and see for sure.
SQUIRTLE'S SUNGLASSES: After the Squirtle Community Day was announced, many people were calling for Niantic to add the Squirtle Squad in Pokémon GO with #SquirtleSquadOrRiot. Well, after a bunch of theories and clickbait, we finally know that sunglass-wearing Squirtle will appear on Community Day via Field Research tasks.
If you are not familiar, the Squirtle Squad was a group of punks-turned-firefighting Squirtle from the anime. Protagonist Ash Ketchum actually caught the leader Squirtle and used it along his journey through Kanto. Ash's Squirtle has come back after returning to Kanto, such as the time Ash battled Brandon in the Battle Frontier saga.
EUROPEAN EVENT: As compensation for the rather-disappointing start to the Safari Zone event in Dortmund over the weekend, Niantic have started a mini-event in Europe. Roselia and Corsola are now spawning at increased rates throughout the entire continent. This lasts until 11:59 PM UTC on Wednesday.
ARTICUNO DAY TIMEFRAME: We finally have some specific times for the three hours of Articuno Raids coming up on Saturday. The Asia-Pacific region has their event from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM JST. Greenlad and the Americas' event will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM EDT. The remaining section of the world has their event window from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM UTC.
