In Pokémon GO, no Shiny Legendary Pokémon's release has been more anticipated than Rayquaza's. And after players have spent many, many months begging Niantic for its release, it's finally happening!
Rayquaza is returning to Raid Battles Wednesday, July 31, at 1:00 PM PDT with the ability to be Shiny for the first time! And Rayquaza will not be returning to the ozone layer for a while. This Legendary dragon will be in Raids until September 2 at 1:00 PM PDT.
Get your counters ready! Ice-types should be your go-to against Rayquaza, with Dragon-, Rock-, and Fairy-types also being super-effective options. And if you need more space in your Pokémon Box to store your new Rayquaza and/or Shadow Pokémon, Niantic has upped the maximum limit to 2,500.
Thanks for reading, Trainers! Remember that Armored Mewtwo is leaving Raids as soon as Rayquaza arrives.
