Welcome back, Trainers! This time we'll take a look at the powerful Rhyperior.

Rhyperior is the evolved form of Rhydon. We expect the evolution to cost 100 Candy, and a Protector (should Niantic add this main-series Evolution Item).
PLACE IN THE META: Out of all the new evolutions, Rhyperior is the one with the most potential. Its phenomenal stats give Rhyperior the potential to be on par with or overtake Groudon and Tyranitar, assuming it gets the moves it needs. Regardless, Rhyperior is expected to shake the Ground- and Rock-type metagame.
Rhyperior is a Rock- and Ground-type. This makes it weak to Ground-, Ice-, Fighting-, and Steel-type attacks; doubly weak to Grass- and Water-type attacks; "immune" to Electric-type attacks; highly-resistant to Poison-type attacks; as well as resistant to Normal-, Flying-, Rock-, and Fire-type attacks.
LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Rhyperior:
Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Rhyperior:
Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Rhyperior's movepool:
LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 4, Rhyperior gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution.
