Trainers, the Silph Road has published some interesting research about how rewards from Raids are determined. This research published just after a change in item drops, but the research should still be mostly accurate. Let's take a look!
NEW ITEMS: Super Potions and Hyper Potions are now possible awards from Raids. This is far overdue. Raids eat up your Potions, and having Pokémon at half-health when facing a Legendary is not ideal. The addition of Potions does come with a drawback, though. Be aware that Golden Razz Berries and Rare Candy now are awarded less. It is unclear at this time whether TMs were severely affected or not.
NEW RESEARCH: The Silph Road's research shows that items are awarded in bundles, the size of which is determined by the type of Raid. The number of bundles is determined by the same factors as Premier Balls. The final deciding factor is just the luck of what you are awarded. We won't share the specific percentages, as they are now inaccurate with the addition of Potions and the extra Premier Ball.
