Glameow and Purugly are the Meowth- and Persian-equivalents of this generation. They should be decently common. We don't expect to find them in Eggs, but we do expect them to take 3KM to find a Candy when they are your Buddy.

• PRONOUNCED: purr-UG-lee
• TYPE: Normal
• HEIGHT: 3' 03"
• WEIGHT: 96.6 lbs.

PLACE IN THE META: Purugly may be used a lot in Team Galactic, but most likely not in Pokémon GO. We expect Purugly to have about as much of a competitive presence as Persian does. It just doesn't have good enough stats or typing to compete in the metagame.

Purugly is a pure Normal-type. This makes it weak to Fighting-type attacks, as well as "immune" to Ghost-type attacks. All other types of attacks are neutral.

​LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Purugly:

• Feint Attack
• Shadow Claw

Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Purugly:

• Aerial Ace
• Body Slam
• Hyper Beam

Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Purugly's movepool:

• Echoed Voice
• Fury Swipes
• Giga Impact

LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 4, Purugly gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution.
