PLACE IN THE META: In Generation 4, we were introduced to Rampardos. This fossil Pokémon was weak defensively, but its sky-high Attack stat made it one of the top-tier Rock-type attackers. And in Generation 5, we will likely get an encore performance at Archeops flies awkwardly onto the stage.
Archeops, the brightly-colored ancestor to most bird Pokémon, will be a new powerhouse in the Rock- and Flying-type fields. With its Mewtwo-level Attack stat left to flourish without the hindering Defeatist Ability from the main-series games, Archeops will be a Raiding monster if its movepool is comprised of good attacks.
