Mewtwo has been in Pokémon GO for fifteen days now, but only for the players who attended Pokémon GO Stadium. Niantic made a strong "hype-move" by releasing Mewtwo early, but when will it be available to all of us?

Many have thought that Mewtwo will become available after Lugia and the Legendary Birds leave this Thursday. This would mean that Mewtwo becomes global on the latter part of Thursday or the beginning of Friday. This would seem certain if it wasn't for the latest update.

The latest update, which only some early-receiving Android users got before it was frozen, has a terrible bug that causes insufferable lag when battling. Niantic's focus needs to be on fixing this update and getting the patch out before Mewtwo is released. Putting the unfortunate update-havers aside, there was some code added for Exclusive Raids added in the latest version. If Exclusive Raids need that little bit of extra coding, then we might have to wait a bit longer for Mewtwo.

Niantic and the Pokémon Company's definition of "soon" certainly has become a bit stretched with the Mewtwo release. We'll just have to see when Mewtwo and the other Exclusive Raid Bosses decide to drop. In any case, it shouldn't be more than a week, maybe two.
