The Legendary-excitement train hasn't reached the end of the line yet! The three Legendary Beast of Johto (Suicune, Entei, and Raikou) will appear in Raids later today. On top of that, we received more information on Exclusive Raids (now called EX Raids).
entei, raikou, and suicune
The Legendary Beasts, which are also known as the Three Dogs, are going to appear in regular Raids later on today. But, in a nod to their roaming nature from the mainstream games, they will only be available in certain places. But, before you panic, everywhere will get an opportunity to get the dogs over the next three months.
When the Beasts start to appear, they will appear at the following locations first:
- RAIKOU: August 31 - September 30 in North America and South America
- ENTEI: August 31 - September 30 in Europe and Africa
- SUICUNE: August 31 - September 30 in Asia and the Pacific-region (Australia, Indonesia, etc.)
The Beasts will migrate on September 30 to another location, and to their final location on October 31. Although we do not know, it seems sensible to believe that these three Legendaries will be gone after the end of November (November 30).

EX RAID BATTLES
The Exclusive Raid Battle feature (which is now abbreviated to EX Raids) will begin a beta-testing phase soon. Niantic has said they want this feature to be the best it can be, and will modify it as needed after listening to feedback on social media.
Niantic will soon send out EX Invitations (as soon as September 6, 2017) for certain Trainers. These Raids will be exclusive to certain Gyms in the beginning. This does sound very similar to the regular Raid beta we had at the beginning of the summer. Most likely, high-level players will get access to the EX Raids at sponsored Gyms to start out with. Niantic will then gradually decrease the level cap and open the EX Raids up to more and more Gyms.
As far as Mewtwo goes, we have no confirmation if it will be available in the EX Raid beta. The beta could very well be Mewtwo, or it could be other Pokémon like Lapras and Tyranitar.
