Welcome back, Trainers! We'll be taking a look at what Cherubi and Cherrim will be like in Pokémon GO this time. Let's begin!
CHERUBI
ATTACK: 108 |
DEFENSE: 96 |
STAMINA: 90 |
MAX CP: 829 |
Cherubi is expected to be very common in Grass-type biomes. We don't expect to find Cherubi in Eggs, but we do expect it and Cherrim to take 3KM to find a Candy while being walked as a Buddy.
CHERRIM
ATTACK: 170 |
DEFENSE: 157 |
STAMINA: 140 |
MAX CP: 1886 |
Cherrim has two different forms. The Overcast Form (pictured above) is the default, and is the form that appears in all weather conditions except Sunny weather. The blossoming Sunshine Form comes out during times of sunlight. We expect Niantic to take the easy way out and make Cherrim form-locked as well as only have the Sunshine Form spawn during Sunny weather.
PLACE IN THE META: Cherrim is not going to be useful in Pokémon GO. Cherrim is just one of those common Grass-types with poor stats that is destined to always sit in the shadow of Pokémon like Tangrowth, (Alolan) Exeggutor, Venusaur, Sceptile, etc.
Cherrim is a Grass-type. This makes it weak to Bug-, Poison-, Flying-, Fire-, and Ice-type attacks, as well as resistant to Ground-, Water-, Grass-, and Electric-type attacks.
LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Cherrim:
Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Cherrim:
Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Cherrim's movepool:
LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 4, Cherrim gains no evolution, Mega Evolution, or exclusive Z-Move.
