PLACE IN THE META: Manaphy will definitely be a great Water-type attacker if given access to Waterfall and Surf. Kyogre will still be better (especially if it ever gets access to Origin Pulse), but that does not mean Manaphy won't be useful. It has the exact same stats as Mew and Celebi, so if you've caught yours and powered them up, you'll know that they can deal the damage and survive the hits quite well.

Manaphy is a pure Water-type. This makes it weak to Electric- and Grass-type attacks, as well as resistant to Water-, Fire-, and Steel-type attacks.

​LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Manaphy:

• Bubble
• Waterfall

LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 4, Manaphy gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution.
