Welcome back, Trainers! As we begin to wind down the Sinnoh previews, we want to thank you for all of the support on this series. But it's not over yet! In this installment we'll be taking a look at what the ruler of time, Dialga, will be in Pokémon GO.
ATTACK: 302 |
DEFENSE: 242 |
STAMINA: 200 |
MAX CP: 4654 |
PLACE IN THE META: Dialga will be a terrific addition to the metagame. It has a fantastic typing, which makes it the first of the stand-out Dragons to not have a double-weakness! And the Steel-typing makes it resist quite a few types, as well as make Dragon-type attacks deal only neutral damage!
Looking at that and its stats (which will almost certainly given a typical 9% nerf), Dialga could become the best Dragon-type attacker or at least seriously challenge Rayquaza. But that will somewhat depend on moveset in terms of raw DPS. However, as long as Dialga can get a good moveset, it could be a better selection for Trainers who are short on healing items due to its long list of resistances and increased defenses.
Dialga is a Dragon- and Steel-type. This makes it weak to Ground- and Fighting-type attacks; "immune" to Poison-type attacks; highly-resistant to Grass-type attacks; as well as resistant to Steel-, Rock-, Water-, Electric-, Psychic-, Flying-, Bug-, and Normal-type attacks.
LIKELY MOVEPOOL: Out of the Fast Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Dialga:
Out of the Charged Moves we currently have in Pokémon GO, the following are the ones that seem most likely to be given to Dialga:
Should Niantic add any new moves, the following are good candidates for Dialga's movepool:
LOOKING AHEAD: Looking beyond Generation 4, Dialga gains no evolution, exclusive Z-Move, or Mega Evolution.
