A new update has been released for Pokémon GO. There has been no signs of the big, highly-coveted updates of Generation 4 and PVP, but dataminers did find this:
Meteor Mash has been given its official move entry, which further hints at it being Metagross' exclusive move for this month's upcoming Community Day. The other two moves that were first hinted at around the same time as Meteor Mash, Crabhammer and Power-Up Punch, still have not been given move entries.
A new tag for a "Fall 2018" event has been found. This would imply a new Fall-themed event is coming soon, possibly separate from the annual Halloween event.
Hints have been put into place for a new feature known as fitness goals. It is unclear what this feature is at this time, although our best guess is a quest system that rewards you the more you walk.
Here are some other things that have been found underneath the hood of the newest update:
New background settings
Hints at a multi-Battle Party selection feature
New support for downloading PokéStop assets
Coding tweaks for banned / suspended accounts
Other coding tweaks
Thanks for reading, Trainers!
