A new trailer for Pokémon Sword and Shield has been released, plus two large events have been detailed for Pokémon GO. Here's everything that's been announced:
New Forms and Familiar Faces
Let's begin with Sword and Shield. Five new Gigantamax Pokémon have been revealed: Pikachu, Eevee, Charizard, Butterfree, and Meowth.
Three of them -- Pikachu, Eevee, and Meowth -- have special requirements to obtain them. Pikachu can be obtained if play records of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! exist on your Nintendo Switch. The same goes for Eevee and Let's Go, Eevee!. As for Mewoth, it is an early-purchase bonus available via Mystery Gift until January 15, 2020.

Additionally, further details have been shared on Galarian Ponyta. This regional variant is -- to the surprise of many -- a pure Psychic-type. It has a new Ability called Pastel Veil, which prevents and cures poisoning of Pokémon on its side of the field when it is battling or is sent in.
Finally, the following previously-discovered Pokémon have now been confirmed to appear in Sword and Shield:

- G-Max Volt Crash: Gigantamax Pikachu's move. Deals damage to one opponent and paralyzes all opposing Pokémon (including Ground-types).
- G-Max Cuddle: Gigantamax Eevee's move. Deals damage to one opponent and infatuates all opponents of the opposite gender.
- G-Max Wildfire: Gigantamax Charizard's move. Deals damage to one opponent and traps all non-Fire-type opponents in flames for four turns. These flames deal damage, similar to Fire Spin.
- G-Max Befuddle: Gigantamax Butterfree's move. Deals damage to one opponent and causes all opponents to either become poisoned, be paralyzed, or fall asleep.
- G-Max Gold Rush: Gigantamax Meowth's move. Deals damage to one opponent and rewards you an in-game cash bonus after the battle, similarly to Pay Day.

Halloween in Pokémon GO
The Halloween event is one of Pokémon GO's most popular and anticipated events each year, and this year's event does not disappoint. Here's the event's details:
In conjunction with the start of the event, Yamask will become available in GO and some Halloween-themed avatar items will become available in the Style Shop.
Additionally, these new Shadow Pokémon will become available for you to rescue:
- You'll encounter more Ghost-type and Dark-type Pokémon in the wild, in Eggs, and in Raids.
- Double Candy for hatching, transferring, and catching Pokémon.
- Darkrai in Legendary Raids.
- Costume-wearing Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle in Raids. Costumed Pikachu will be spawning in the wild.
- Event-exclusive Field Research and another "A Spooky Message" Spacial Research story.
In conjunction with the start of the event, Yamask will become available in GO and some Halloween-themed avatar items will become available in the Style Shop.

A Colossal Discovery: Regigigas
Regigigas is about to awaken in the world of Pokémon GO! This new Legendary Pokémon will become the EX Raid Boss sometime next month, though Trainers can participate in a paid event to gain early access. Here's what you need to know:
PAID EVENT: The paid event is called A Colossal Discovery, a reference to Regigigas' Pokédex classification of "the Colossal Pokémon." It takes place on November 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.
To get access to the event, you must purchase a nonrefundable ticket. This ticket cannot be bought with PokéCoins, and costs $7.99 USD or the equivalent in your local currency. Tickets will be available to purchase until 5:00 p.m. (local time) on November 2. It is unknown when tickets will go live for purchase.
Purchasing the ticket will get you the following bonuses:
FREE FEATURES: If you do not want to buy the ticket, there are some features that are available to all players. Regice, Regirock, and Registeel will return to Raids from November 1 to November 4. These three Legendary Pokémon will be able to be Shiny for the first time. Shiny Skarmory is also being released for this event.
Aerodactyl, Shuckle, Sneasel, Skarmory, Snorunt, and Beldum will be hatching more frequently from Eggs. Incubator effectiveness has been doubled to help you hatch them. Geodude, Magnemite, Swinub, Aron, and Spheal will be spawning more frequently in the wild.
