Trainers, 30 minutes after our last article went live, dataminers found more new sprites for Generation 3 and Halloween! Credit to GO Hub for discovering this information. Lets dive in!
MIMIKYU HAT: The hat resembling Mimikyu is now being downloaded!
HOENN & LEGENDARY BADGES: The new badge for Generation 3 is now appearing in the medals page! Along with this, the glitch making the Legendary Raid Badge featuring Lugia has finally appeared alongside it.
WITCH-HAT PIKACHU FAMILY: Pikachu, Pichu, and Raichu wearing witch hats are now having their sprites being downloaded. No Shiny variants were discovered, so that ultra-rare Shiny Witch-Hat Pichu won't be unrealistically hard to obtain.
GENERATION 3 SPRITES: The five new Pokémon we saw in the leaked loading screen (Shuppet, Banette, Sableye, Duskull, and Dusclops) are having their sprites (both regular and Shiny variants) being downloaded to you game right now! It seems that these will be the only Pokémon released for Halloween, and possibly with their Shiny variants.
Remember, we may not see new Shinies. All Legendaries have their Shiny sprites downloaded, but all regular Pokémon that have Shiny sprites downloaded can be Shiny. It is very exciting to see the very likely possibility of new Shiny Pokémon coming for Halloween. That said, don't give your hopes up, Trainers.
HO-OH NERF: As we saw with Mewtwo, the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh (who would have a max CP of over 4000) has received a slight nerf to all of its stats. Its new max CP is just under 3900. It does not have its sprite being downloaded yet, so it won't come out tomorrow, but it could easily come out in the EX Raid wave on October 20.
Although its CP would be very high, it is really undeserving. It won't be able to be left in Gyms, so Niantic didn't need to nerf it. Like Trainer Tips tweeted, Niantic needs to fix the broken CP formula instead of nerfing high-CP Pokémon (except for Slaking) and letting Suicune and Registeel have horrendously low CP values for Legendaries.
We have just taken yet another major step towards the release of Generation 3 and the Halloween Event! Keep staying tuned, Trainers, because the Halloween Event may start tomorrow!
