Yesterday was a big news day for Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!, and Pokémon GO. Let's get into the news.
NINCADA FAMILY
Three unreleased Bug-type Pokémon from Hoenn have been added to Pokémon GO at last! Shedinja is now the Research Breakthrough encounter for the month of November. Its pre-evolution, Nincada, is available in the "Catch 5 Bug-type Pokémon" Field Research task. Nincada is unable to evolve into Shedinja, but it can evolve into its alternate Evolution: Ninjask.
ADVENTURE SYNC
The recently-announced Adventure Sync feature is now live in Pokémon GO. Originally, it was only available for Level 40 Trainers. Like many other features, it is being gradually rolled out based on level. As of writing this article, the minimum level is now lowered to Level 30, and will be lowered to Level 5 as the days go on.
NEW RESEARCH
There is some other new Field Research that is worth noting:
- "Win a Raid" rewards Pineco
- "Catch 5 Normal-type Pokémon" rewards Pinsir
- "Earn a Candy walking with your Buddy" rewards Clefable
- "Evolve 2 Pidgey" awards Caterpie
- "Make 3 Nice Cuveball Throws" awards Spinda #7
- "Send 5 Gifts" awards Golbat
- "Make 5 Great Throws in a Row" awards Wigglytuff
LATEST ON LGPE
Lastly, we have an update on Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! The upcoming Switch titles were featured in a Nintendo Treehouse presentation yesterday after the final Direct for Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
NEW MOVES: Gameplay was shown of a move tutor for Eevee, which teaches your partner one of its new exclusive moves. Bouncy Bubble, Sizzly Slide, and Buzzy Buzz were included, along with two new moves that have yet to be announced: Glitzy Glow and Baddy Bad. Their type, power, and any secondary effects is unknown, but we can infer from the names that Baddy Bad is Dark-type and Glitzy Glow is Fairy- or Psychic-type.
MYSTERY BOX: We now know that there are limitations with the Mystery Box. The Mystery Box can only be received once a week. At this time, we do not know if that means each GO account can receive one a week or each Let's Go save-file can only send one a week. If you don't remember, the Mystery Box is an item that is sent to GO from LGPE that acts as a Meltan Incense.
IV JUDGE: A feature that judges IVs makes a return in this game, similarly to how the different phrases of the Team leaders appraise your Pokémon in Pokémon GO. This feature has to be unlocked.
FORTUNE TELLER: Finally, we have the announcement of a new feature that will greatly please competitive players. In the Pokémon Center in Celadon City, the same one where the Eevee move tutor is located, is the Fortune Teller. This woman will ask you a few questions, which based on your answers, will manipulate the Natures of wild Pokémon to your liking.
