Breaking with recent precedent, Niantic has announced the details of their next event ahead of time. That next event is the annual Holiday Event. Here's what you need to know:

The presence of the Lake Trio implies that they will be coming to Legendary Raids after Cresselia leaves.
The event also has a variety of other bonuses. More baby Pokémon are entering 7KM Eggs and PokéStops will award a single-use Incubator for the duration of the event (December 18-January 2). Catch and transfer Candy will be doubled (Dec 18-22), catch Stardust will be doubled (Dec 22-26), catch XP will be doubled (Dec 26-30), and Incubators will hatch Eggs twice as fast (Dec 30-Jan 2). Ho-Oh and Lugia will return to the skies on Monday, December 17, at 1:00 PM PST. Speaking of Raid Bosses leaving, remember that Cresselia will leave 24 hours after that. SOURCE: Niantic
5. PNN UPDATE
As you may have noticed, articles have been a bit sparse recently. We apologize for that. It's a busy time of year for us, and we've been unable to write full articles as often; Sending out quick updates via tweet has been much more convenient over the last month.
We're determined to get back to a more regular schedule after the holidays and complete the updates to our database. We have big plans for 2019! We hope you'll stay tuned, and thank you for understanding.
