2. HOLIDAY EVENT
Breaking with recent precedent, Niantic has announced the details of their next event ahead of time. That next event is the annual Holiday Event. Here's what you need to know:
Delibird is returning this holiday season, complete with the possibility of being Shiny. A special, hat-wearing Pikachu will also be released. Some Delibird-themed clothing will be added to the Style Shop.
Some new Sinnoh Pokémon are also being released. Munchlax, Chingling, Snover, Abomasnow, and Mantyke have been confirmed. The promotional image has also teased Croagunk (and Toxicroak, by extension), as well as Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie. The presence of the Lake Trio implies that they will be coming to Legendary Raids after Cresselia leaves.
The event also has a variety of other bonuses. More baby Pokémon are entering 7KM Eggs and PokéStops will award a single-use Incubator for the duration of the event (December 18-January 2). Catch and transfer Candy will be doubled (Dec 18-22), catch Stardust will be doubled (Dec 22-26), catch XP will be doubled (Dec 26-30), and Incubators will hatch Eggs twice as fast (Dec 30-Jan 2).

4. HO-OH & LUGIA
Yet again, Ho-Oh and Lugia are back in Raid Battles. Niantic has brought these birdlike Legendary Pokémon back to help Trainers add some power to their Ultra and Master League teams, as well as give Trainers another opportunity to find one as a Shiny Pokémon.
Ho-Oh and Lugia will return to the skies on Monday, December 17, at 1:00 PM PST. Speaking of Raid Bosses leaving, remember that Cresselia will leave 24 hours after that.

5. PNN UPDATE
As you may have noticed, articles have been a bit sparse recently. We apologize for that. It's a busy time of year for us, and we've been unable to write full articles as often; Sending out quick updates via tweet has been much more convenient over the last month.
We're determined to get back to a more regular schedule after the holidays and complete the updates to our database. We have big plans for 2019! We hope you'll stay tuned, and thank you for understanding.
