1.   Kyogre  has  come,  while  groudon  is  almost  gone

Kyogre has come earlier than expected, Trainers! The embodiment of the sea is available until February 14, 2018, at 1:00 P.M. (PT). Meanwhile, Groudon is still available. But Groudon's time is very short, as it will end on January 15 at 1:00 P.M.

2.   Pokemon  go  community  day

Niantic announced their new, monthly event series this week. Pokémon GO Community Day will feature a Pokémon with increased spawn rates and an event-only moveset, as well as some other features.

This month's special Pokémon is Pikachu, which can know Surf. The extra bonuses are double XP and three-hour Lures. Depending on your region, the event's timeframe is different.

3.   Outrage  over  EX  Raids

The wildly-inpopular EX Raids have stoked up another round of controversy. The criticism, although rightly earned, has grown to a new high. Niantic has not issued any statement detailing new changes, and has possibly released Kyogre early as a distraction. Let's see what happens.

4.   Zangoose  and  seviper's  flip-flop

Zangoose and Seviper, counterparts that are divided along an east-west meridian, recently switched places. Zangoose is currently available on the continents Europe, Asia, and Australia. Seviper is currently available in Africa and the Americas.

5.   Pokken  Tournament  dx:  A  new  update

The recent Nintendo Direct Mini wasn't heavy on Pokémon news, but it did give us this. Pokkén Tournament DX is getting a paid update on January 31. The first wave introduces Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu as new support Pokémon, and Aegislash as a new fighter. The second wave introduces Mew and Celebi as new support, and Blastoise as a new fighter.
