1. Community day
Yesterday was the second-ever Community Day. Dratini spawned with crazy amounts, Stardust was tripled for capturing Pokémon, and Lure Modules lasted for three hours. The event also introduced the Shiny forms of Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite.
Our experience, and that of others who shared them with us, was amazing! Many people came out for the Dratini and Legendary Raids. We saw the most people in our local area since launch month!

2. Groudon and Kyogre return!
Groudon and Kyogre have joined Rayquaza in Pokémon GO. The beasts of land and sea are available again until March 5. To help battle these three Legendary Raid Bosses, Niantic has started a great sale on Raid Passes.
Niantic has also given us a mini-challenge centering around these Raid Bosses. More windy-weather Pokémon will hatch if we defeat more Rayquaza. More sunny- and rainy-weather Pokémon will hatch if we defeat more Groudon and Kyogre.

3. More Movie footage coming
More footage for the next Pokémon movie will be released soon. It will air on a Japanese variety show on Tuesday, February 27. Check back next weekend for more information!

4. The Legendary Year Continues!
The Pokémon Company's Year of Legendary Pokémon event rolls on! This month's distribution is for Heatran or Regigigas. As a reminder, this distribution is only for the main-series games of Generation 7.

5. The Dark Gym Cup
A new Gym Cup is ongoing in Pokémon Duel. The Cup, which centers around Dark-types, will end tomorrow. A Honchkrow (EX) figure is one of the rewards.

6. Giovanni's Nidoking Takes over Japan
As a tie-in to a Team Rainbow Rocket event in Japanese Pokémon Center stores, a special Nidoking Raid Boss will be available in Pokémon GO. Although it's currently unclear how, this Nidoking will be stronger than the Nidoking Raid Bosses we've seen in the past.
Since Shiny Pokémon are being thrown out like hotcakes as of late, we wouldn't be surprised if this is the way to release the Shiny Nidoking family. Any news that comes out of this event will be reported this week.
