The first Pokémon GO Safari Zone in Latin America is taking place this weekend in Brazil. Attendees of the event are experiencing increased spawn rates of rare Pokémon, such as Relicanth, Piplup, and Bagon. The Unown at the event are spelling out "Porto Alegre."
Meanwhile, Psyduck are spawning at increased rates all around the world for the weekend as a tie-in. For the first time, Trainers are able to find the blue-colored Shiny Psyduck. SOURCE: Niantic
2. COMMUNITY DAY
February's Pokémon GO Community Day was announced this week. The event will have increased spawn rates of Swinub, three-hour Lures, triple catch Stardust, and increased rewards from Trainer Battles (including five guarantee Sinnoh Stones on the day of the event).
Piloswine's fourth-generation evolution, Mamoswine, will be released for the event. A Sinnoh Stone is required for the evolution. Mamoswine will be getting an exclusive move, although it has been kept secret as usual. SOURCE: Niantic
3. HOENN CELEBRATION
To end this weekend's short Weekend Download, we have a reminder. The ongoing Hoenn Celebration in Pokémon GO is scheduled to end on January 29, 2019, at 1:00 PM PST. If you still need to evolve to a Breloom with Grass Knot or go out and Raid for a Shiny Groudon and/or Kyogre, make sure to do it before Tuesday. SOURCE: Niantic
