1. the map for Pokemon go fest Chicago
The map for GO Fest was revealed this week. The three team lounges sit in the corners of Grant Park and feature many large monitors. The fourth corner of the park features the "Ultimate Gym," the place where anything Legendary will likely occur. There will also be food vendors, scattered WiFi, and a PokéWalk.
2. APK Leaks and a mysterious push notification
Pokémon GO was updated this week. The update brought many bug fixes, but also more. Both The Silph Road and GO Hub did APK mines and found the mentions to an anniversary event. Later on in the week, a push notification was sent out referencing leveling up. This hints at a double XP event coming next week!
Also, GO Hub disclosed some more of their APK findings from the previous update. Code for the Golden Nanab Berry and the Golden Pinap Berry has appeared, although it is only preliminary and not yet ready to be activated.

3. end of the raid beta
The Raid Beta has officially ended. Raids are available worldwide for all Trainers Level 5 and above.
4. go plus caught on national television
For those in the United States, they may have caught a glimpse of this. Chris Hardwick (host of NBC's The Wall) appeared on NBC's Hollywood Game Night wearing the Pokémon GO Plus wristband. The celebrity even went as far to catch a Pokémon with the device, saying he feels no shame over playing the game. Nice to see the game isn't dead among the rich and famous.
5. more Pokemon have become "slashed"
Looking back, it seems PNN forgot to report on this subject, so lets bring you up to date. Once the rework update came out, many of the Pokémon that were illegally caught through spoofing were marked with a slash. These Pokémon behave irregularly in Gyms, meaning spoofers no longer have an advantage. Some Pokémon were caught in April, meaning Niantic has had their eye on certain accounts for awhile.
This week, reports of new "slashed" Pokémon were given. Players with, as GO Hub put it, erratic player movements were targeted. Reports have also come in from legitimate players, saying that certain Pokémon have become "slashed." It appears that Niantic is using your email to see if tracking websites or IV-checkers have access to it. Make sure to go into your email and remove the access to any such websites so you don't get "slashed."
