1. ALOLAN FORMS?!
In the curviest of all curveballs, Niantic announced this week that the Alolan forms of some iconic Pokémon that premiered in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will soon come to Pokémon GO. Niantic provided no details about how they'd be handling these regional variants or the date they'd be releasing them, but coding for them was found in an update later in the week.

2. ADVENTURE WEEK
Almost a month after the teasing of it in the newsletter, Niantic finally revealed and started Adventure Week 2018. For details about the event, click here.
3. THE NEXT COMMUNITY DAY
Niantic revealed this week that the next Pokémon GO Community Day will feature the Rock-type Pokémon Larvitar. The event, which takes place on June 16, will also feature three-hour Lures and triple XP for capturing Pokémon.

4. RESEARCH SHAKEUP
Field Research and Research Breakthroughs are to go through another shakeup starting on June 1 at 1:00 PM PDT. Field Research will go from centering around Electric-types to Water-types, and the Research Breakthrough box will contain Articuno instead of Zapdos.
