Ever since Reversal put his foot down on Twitter, the outrage over EX Raids has continued to grow. In his Tweet, Reversal said, "You know what? I'm done with this EX-Raid Pass system. Way to kill my motivation on this game. Taking [an] indefinite break from #PokemonGO."
Since then, more in the Pokémon GO media have also raised complaints and suggestions for fixes. In addition to a recent PNN article, Trainer Tips, Polygon, and ProdigiesNation have all been seen covering the EX Outrage. And in the comments section of their Tweets and YouTube videos, we have seen comments saying things to similar to the following:
"THANK YOU REVERSAL. This is exactly what we need, a partnered and highly viewed content [creator] of their game to call them out on their bullsh**." - @scoobaluyt
"...the system is horrendously flawed..." - @JLT2919
"I hate the [EX Raid] system. Maybe you could start a poll asking how [people] feel about [EX Raids] so Niantic can see what the community thinks. Or start a boycott?" - @albyysaurus
"Niantic has seen all his tweets about it before, seems like they just don't care.." - @DessiAdventures
With the heightened hate, Niantic can no longer ignore it. They tried using their ideas to fix the system, and they failed. Now they need to use the community's ideas, because it is the last chance for Niantic to get it right. We expect that, if Niantic cares about improving the system, a statement will be released in the upcoming days.
Thanks for reading, Trainers. We'll keep you posted here and on Twitter (@PNN_APTV) with the latest developments about this story and any Pokémon-related news that comes out of a Nintendo Direct today (should it happen).
