1. CONTROVERSIAL LEAK
An unprecedented and controversial leak rocked the whole Pokémon community this week. Niantic replaced Kecleon's assets in Pokémon GO's network traffic with those of a Pokémon that has never been seen before in all seven generations. The design of this new Pokémon led some to believe it was a placeholder, but what happened after Community Day seems to disprove that.
For 30 minutes after the increased spawns of Chikorita in each of the three regions, the leaked creature spawned in large numbers. All of them turned into Ditto, and sometimes Chikorita. Some Trainers on an older version of Pokémon GO saw the unreleased Pokémon Kecleon instead of the so-called "Dittonut."
This Pokémon may have taken Kecleon's slot in the GO 'Dex, but it is labled as Pokémon 891 in the Unity files. The current national Pokédex goes up to 807, ending with Zeraora (808 if you count the Pokémon confirmed to be added in Let's Go). This has led many to believe this was a marketing strategy to promote a Pokémon from the upcoming Generation 8 or the Pokémon coming in LGPE we mentioned a moment ago. Whether this theory is right or wrong, we cannot say, but this was clearly a great marketing ploy; It certainly got the entire community talking!

2. DEOXYS
The Mythical Pokémon Deoxys will soon enter Pokémon GO's EX Raid Battles. The next wave of EX Raid invites, whenever they go out, will give Trainers the opportunity to challenge the Normal Forme of the DNA Pokémon. Additionally, some improvements are being made to the system.
Trainers can now share an EX Pass with an Ultra Friend or Best Friend. In addition, Trainers can now see which Gyms are eligible to host an EX Raid. There is a special tag in the upper-right corner of the Gym details screen that says "EX Raid Gym."

3. MEWTWO
With Deoxys' entrance into EX Raids, Mewtwo has made its exit. Mewtwo has entered regular Raids until October 23. Mewtwo's Shiny variant has not been introduced, but it has its Shadow Ball and Hyper Beam attacks have been replaced with Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, and Flamethrower. Mewtwo has had its catch-rate lowered to that of the other Legends, and its HP as a Raid Boss (and therefore its Boss CP) increased to make the Raid more challenging.

5. LET'S GO UPDATE
With the release of another trailer for Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! and some Pokémon personalities from the UK having the opportunity to play the games, we've learned some new information abut LGPE.
EXCLUSIVE MOVES: Pikachu has has another exclusive move revealed: the Flying-type Floaty Fall. We've also been able to determine the base-power of Eevee's Sizzly Slide, Buzzy Buzz, and Bouncy Bubble is 90.
GO PARK: We now know GO Park can hold 1,000 Pokémon transferred over from Pokémon GO. There is also a mini-game in the Play Yard that allows you to earn extra Candy.
ALOLAN FORMS: The Alolan regional variants will also be able to transferred from Pokémon GO into Let's Go. Playing GO isn't the only way to obtain the Alolan forms; Some in-game trades with NPCs will award you with Alolan forms.
LEGENDARIES: Firstly, Legendary Pokémon have some beautiful cutscenes in these games. But, more importantly, Legendary Pokémon are captured slightly differently than the other Pokémon. They will be battled down in a traditional battle, then caught with the GO-style catching. This is very reminiscent of Pokémon GO's Legendary Raid Battles.
PLAYING THE GAME: Some PokéTubers from the United Kingdom and Joe Merrick, the webmaster of Serebii, were invited to London to play the beginning of Pokémon: Let's Go. They walked away from their experience saying LGPE is not for the competitive player, but rather for initiating the new players of the series. However, they also said, even though the game does not have Abilities, traditional catching, or held items, LGPE is a main-series game that most Pokémon fans will enjoy.
